Pecorino is a grape we all need to know and this example, from a co-operative winery in Abruzzo, captures the variety’s charm. The ripe orchard fruit nose is supported by a subtle herbal character, while there’s ripe, juicy fruit in the mouth, balanced by crisp apple acidity, there are delicate layers of texture and a pleasing mineral undertow. Excellent value, it’s a perfect party wine.
