A lovely vintage in Rioja, and this third release of Finca Martelo reveals the continuing improvement in the wine, as well as the results of the questioning, probing approach to the viticulture and winemaking, with further developments coming on-stream in 2016. Martelo is certainly building on its promising start. Full bodied and succulent, with ripe fruits and firm tannins.
