Red wine
Quilceda Creek, Columbia Valley Cabernet Sauvignon 2009
Really savoury nose: liquorice and elegant rot. The palate – lush, opulent and muscular – charms from the start; dark blackberry fruit and a savoury, soy-like quality, with fine acidity and rushes of juice lending delicacy. Magnificent and a little rustic, with a fine dry, tannic finish. Bravo.
