From the warm, arid landscape of South Africa’s Swartland, produced by talented winemakers Duncan Savage and Thys Louw, a delicious blend of Syrah and Mourvèdre, with a splash of Viognier for a floral lift. The perfumed nose leads into a hedgerow feast of bramble and cherry, with a hint of cinnamon bun. The wine is concentrated, complex and crunchy, with a peppercorn finish. A wonderful barbecue wine offering a budget alternative to The Chocolate Block, whose fruit also hails from Swartland.
