The nose is a blast of varnish and old wood, still sappy and fresh. Delicate, intense, the juice sluicing through early and carrying on to the end. Pure varietal flavours, dark fruit, floral, very tight and concentrated, dry with a wash of juice at the end, perfumed with rose-petal pot-pourri, scented and fresh, the finish delicate and scented.
