Idda is a joint project between veteran local producer Alberto Graci, and Gaja of Piedmont. A clearly-defined and quite intense terracotta nose; lots of oak tannins but these will calm as the wine matures. Good damson sour fruit with a hint of caramel. Such a young wine that opens and develops in the glass – now the nose is getting sweeter, the oak already calming. Excellent.
