Rain and unusually high levels of humidity conspired to put a dampener on the 2005 vintage. Unlike Bordeaux, this wasn’t a year that Tuscany excelled in. The palate is middle weight, fading slightly but with very pleasant aromas of blueberries and Chinese five spice. Moderate length.
