A warm, uneventful summer season produced an exceptional vintage of Saffredi. The nose is very open and exotic; ripe plums and cassis are wed to earthy tobacco and rubber plant scents. The palate is similarly magnificent, with an incredible liveliness and verve to it. The purest fruit expression encountered in the vertical tasting.
