Col d'Orcia Brunello di Montalcino 2016
Red wine

Col d'Orcia, Brunello di Montalcino 2016

RRP £27

I tasted some magnificent older examples of Col d’Orcia’s wines in 2020, including a sublime 1978. These are wines that need patience and time to show their best. A little shy on the nose, with sweet red fruit and some earthy, mineral, ash notes. Firm, forceful structure, tannins that coat the teeth but are not harsh. A muscular, traditional style, densely concentrated.
