Not, as commonly thought, a second wine of Léoville Las Cases, but rather a sister cuvée, made from entirely different vineyard plots. The blue-fruited bouquet is fine, refined, and beguiling. On the palate this bottle has a touch of reduction, the wet wool character marring slightly the otherwise lovely, smooth texture and refinement. This bottle may well not be a fair representation.
