This Vranec gem wafts with a cacophony of fragrances, from violets and wysteria to black cherry and lingonberry. There’s vanilla, too, as Kamnik specialises in oak – but well-integrated oak. Matured for 24 months in new American and French barriques, this wine exudes a palate of beautiful flavours – raspberry, pomegranate, coffee and toffee – along with youthful, exciting tannins, vibrant, ripe acidity and a light undertone of spice all the way through the finish. A gorgeous wine.
