The Sanders/Wilmes axis is pleased with 2017; the harvest was brought in over two sunny weeks and, the legacy of the frost notwithstanding, there was room for 5% of both Merlot and Cabernet Franc. The result is leafy yet generous, with text-book Péssac texture and fine rolling tannins. An ethereal yet real presence which effortlessly captures all that is best about this whimsical vintage.
