Old vines and sandy soils have conspired against nature’s whims; there is an ethereal character here, fine grainy tannins and deceptive length; purity above all, careless of the vicissitudes of a difficult year. There is subtle vigour displayed, and rigorous complexity courtesy of the minority shareholders: 10% Cabernet Franc and 5% Petit Verdot.
