With a label not dissimilar to a pricey Tignanello, this great value Tuscan red, a blend of Sangiovese, Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot, is bursting with foraged blackberries, sour cherry and summer pudding. There’s a classic, lithe Italian acid line keeping the fruit in check, and some good grip from the well managed tannins. An accomplished wine for the price, offering a perfect pairing for a meaty pasta sauce.
