Red wine
Corison, Cabernet Sauvignon Table Wine 1989
RRP £192
Cathy Corison is one of the eminences grises of Napa, her wines a hymn to elegance and restraint. This 30-year-old glows in the glass. There’s a dense, savoury, tobacco and herb nose, perfumed and feminine. The palate is rich and youthful with lots of bright fruit – dark cherry and sweet dark damson, developing notes of cassis, light earth and violet petals. A delicious, masterful wine with many years ahead of it.
