Ata-Rangi-Martinborough-Pinot-Noir

Ata Rangi, Pinot Noir 2015

RRP £ 63.99

Very nice notes of hedgerow and bramble but also broody too. There is an incredible succulence to this wine – so juicy, so taut – incredibly sinewy, woven and gripping (not grippy!). This marks the point where Helen and the team began using some whole bunch ferments and it shows – and it works. I love whole bunch and I love this wine. It’s easy to make comparisons with the 2014 and on the day, I reckon the 2014 was marginally showing better. But it should be a rewarding experience to see this wine age as I think it will soon outstrip the 2014.
