1. Malvasia Di Bosa Riserva

Giovanni Battista Columbu, Malvasia Di Bosa Riserva 2014 (Malvasia di Sardegna)

Made with the Malvasia di Sardegna grape in Sardinia’s eastern Oristano province, Malvasia di Bosa is the result of a controlled oxidative process – just like Sherry, Marsala and Vernaccia di Oristano. Always extremely complex, Malvasia di Bosa comes in both dry and sweet styles, and it is the result of ageing in open-top chestnut casks in which a film of yeast (flor) develops. A wonderful aperitif and after-dinner drink, it also works with any dish featuring capers, smoked fish, honey, shellfish, aged cheese and olives.
