Hernö is a cult gin distillery in Sweden and something of a modern classic, reaping numerous awards including some top IWSC recognition. The use of juniper wood is this gin’s signature, and lends an entirely different character of freshness. A bright nose of juniper, honey and pine resin lead to a wide range of juniper notes on the palate, from sweet woodiness to berries and more floral notes, balanced by citrus notes and a touch of coriander on the finish. Excellent ice cold in a very dry martini or sipped neat.
