The nose unfolds slowly, revealing a delicate bouquet of mandarin zest, peach Melba and some freshly cut grass. The palate has more of the mandarin notes, with some white peaches, Earl Grey tea and white chocolate mousse. A note of passionfruit, too. The orange oil lingers, with more peach notes. The finish is elegant and slightly spiced, with a brown-sugar sweetness. Very fruity, brilliantly balanced and exceptionally easy to drink, even at the high ABV. This outstanding release shows that more Armagnac should be bottled at higher strength.
