The nose opens with the comforting aroma of a freshly baked pastry mingling with notes of green apple, ginger and thyme. The palate is very vibrant, with tart green gooseberries and pineapple juice. There is some white pepper, to give a gentle warmth, with some ripe peach and a hint of rhubarb, too. The finish is fruity, with more of the rhubarb and some banana and toffee notes, plus griddled pineapple. Excellent.
