The nose opens with earthy notes of dry oak and autumnal forest floor. It evolves into the comforting scent of aged leather, with some freshly baked bread smothered with blueberry jam. On the palate, there isa lovely note of fresh oak, and aromatic spices, along with sandalwood and cedar. There is almost a smoky note on the finish, slightly meaty; think venison with lingonberry jam. Some cracked black pepper. The finish is long, with more of the black pepper and red wine jus.
