Its mountain climate is humid and rainy in winter, with good air circulation and a significant temperature range during summer. Fermentation takes place in inert vessels with a specific indigenous yeast selected in the vineyard by the winery after long studies on the subject. This teases out a savoury overtone while maintaining a clean, pure palate. The wine matures in French oak for 12 months providing a high mid-palate weight and tar-like complexity. A well-defined wine that is still showing youth and brightness, with firm, fine-grained tannins demonstrating its huge ageing potential.
