This winery is part of the Farinetti family (owner of the Fontanafredda Piemonte group and Eataly stores). The winemakers highlight the beauty of old vines of Nerello Mascalese by co-fermenting it with a small proportion of Nerello Cappuccio. The use of 50% whole bunch fermentation gives an additional dimension, with a juicy core and balsamic complexity. The wine is then aged in casks for 18 months resulting in more supple, well-integrated tannins. A wine of grace and finesse that is ready to be drunk now but will develop further for five to six years.
