Contino Gran Reserva

CVNE, Contino Gran Reserva, 2012

RRP £135.15

Three years in both French and American oak were followed by two years in bottle before release; the blend in 2012 bring 70% Tempranillo, 15% Graciano, 12% Garnacha and 3% Viura; classic Contino in other words; with seductive notes of violets, balsam and dark chocolate and a dense, richly concentrated palate which melds spice and fruit with great charm and precision. Long and refreshing, this is a rigorous statement of one of the very best sites in the Alavesa zone.
