Quilceda Creek 2014
Red wine

Quilceda Creek, Columbia Valley Cabernet Sauvignon 2014

RRP £238

This year saw the first use of Quilceda’s Mach One vineyard, which produces powerful, tannic fruit. A really lovely perfumed nose, then a mouthful of burly tannins and minerality (and for the first time, I’m noting the alcohol). It’s robust, with concentrated black cherry – this is very much a New World wine. Tremendous energy; tight to the end but with refreshing juice.
