Château Calon Ségur 2009

RRP £86

From the Left Bank’s northernmost appellation, this has blue-toned, racy, aristocratic fruit. There is a touch of 2009 heat nonetheless. On the palate it is creamy and driven, with building potency. It is perhaps that same warmth that leaves the wine lacking a bit of balance on the end palate.
