Matthieu Barret, Brise Cailloux , 2016
An interesting nose – pretty funky – with juniper and rose among the spicy raspberry and plum fruit. Fairly full-bodied, and also a tweak of bitterness on the finish. Might be a little too wild for some, but has assertive tannin, acidity and character. An atypical, ebullient style.
