Drawn off from one of six casks, this a beautiful golden amber colour. The nose is incredibly complex, while the palate is piercingly direct. The saltiness you might expect from such a wine is turbo-charged, and layered over notes of Marmite, shoe polish and vanilla. There’s a creaminess on the palate reminiscent of toasted brazil-nut butter. Very savoury and dry, especially on the long finish, and a residual hint of dried apple.
