The aromas leap out of the glass, blackcurrant floating as on a summer breeze. Lovely. The palate is luscious, mouthwatering, inflected with sweet strawberry, it manages to be dry, and tart, and creamy all at once, full of citrus flavours like the very finest lemon cheesecake. The dryness comes from a subtle hint of walnut, but in reality there’s so much going on in this complex wine that there’s little profit in describing different flavours. It’s a powerful, complex wine, crying out for rich, exotically-spiced dishes.
