Old Pulteney 8 Year Old
scotch whisky

Old Pulteney, 8 Year Old (distilled 1970s)

RRP £750

Until recently, Old Pulteney was the most northerly distillery on mainland Scotland. Built in the seaside town of Wick, it is known for its sea-salt character. This whisky, young but made in the 1970s, has this character and much more. There are aromas of machine oil and typewriter ribbon; a spicy kick comes in on the mid-palate after a sweet start; the finish is smoky and dry.
