Awamori is a uniquely crafted spirit made only on the small islands of Okinawa, Japan. Chuko Awamori Distillery, a small producer with about 30 employees, is composed mainly of local artisans who carry on the traditional techniques passed down from their ancestors while pursuing innovative approaches that meet the needs of modern times.  

Although awamori production is bound by many constraints, such as the distillation method and raw materials, it still allows for creativity and expression. By carefully selecting yeast strains and refining ageing techniques, the team brings out new and distinctive characters in their spirits, something Chuko Awamori Distillery excels at. Exploring awamori’s untapped potential and creating one-of-a-kind spirits that they can proudly share with the world brings them immense joy.
